Palmerston North Returned and Services Association

Was established in 1917. Over the decades it has become one of the largest clubs in the area, with over 3000 members.

Our facilities are second to none with 3 conference and functions areas catering for up to 350 people, 2 meeting rooms, 3 bars and a 7 day a week restaurant. 18 gaming machines, 7 full size billiard tables, 2 pool tables, a large number of dart boards, 60 inch plasma screen, plus an in house music video system that has over 4000 video clips offering a selection of music from Country, Rock and Dance. Included with this is a 24 square metre screen and projection system.

A new outdoor garden bar and a very large car park complete this city centre facility into truly ‘Club Fantastic’

We have an executive of six with a Chief Executive, functions management team, an operations manager and a skilled catering team.
We are actively seeking new members and have extremely active sports adjuncts including Golf, Outdoor Bowls, Indoor Bowls, Darts, Snooker, Pool, Tai Chi, Fishing and a highly effective Women’s section. Click here for more info. on these groups.

Established in 1917

The Palmerston North RSA is a memorial to men and women who have served their country. Members have served in WW2, Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam and more recently in Bosnia, East Timor, Afghanistan and with many peacekeeping forces throughout the modern world.

The membership is complemented by a growing number of Associate Members.

Originally located on the corner of Cuba and George Streets, the shift to 200 Broadway Avenue took place to accommodate more members. The late 1980’s and 1994 saw the clubrooms rebuilt to provide modern facilities. The 1999 building programme catered for the demands of its increasing membership and diverse activities.

In keeping with our ‘People Helping People’ Motto, the activities of the RSA actively promote assistance in the local community to senior citizens, local schools, and other non profit organisations and to all members of the Association.

The Palmerston North RSA offers all members many facilities and activities in a secure and safe modern environment.
